Webinar: Composite Descriptions
Manager, Greg Hogan discusses how to address the new Composite Description requirement. The 2010 version of the GIPS® standards requires firms to make a bevy of updates to policy documents and composite presentations. During client consultations to discuss the 2010 updates, the area that has dominated recent discussion is how to meet the Composite Description requirement. The reason for this is because, unlike the other changes throughout the Standards, this requirement can be interpreted differently amongst advisors. Greg is going to cover key considerations that will serve as a guide for firms who are grappling with this new requirement and will highlight several key areas:
- Difference between composite “Description” and “Definition”
- Considerations prior to updating composite descriptions
- Information that should be included
