Prior Experience

Timothy joined Ashland in 2005 and serves as the Director of Consulting Services for Ashland Partners. Timothy’s experience covers over fifteen years of performance measurement and attribution, portfolio management, and investment operations. Coming from a background in the investment industry, Timothy is acutely aware of the needs and issues affecting investment management firms and the practical business considerations involved with successful compliance efforts, which makes him

“an expert in the field.”

Timothy is a specialist in the application of performance measurement issues in alternative asset classes. Prior to joining Ashland, Timothy served as the CFO for a Houston-based financial firm where he had responsibility for co-managing an option based hedging strategy as well as the firm’s real estate portfolio. Other experience includes serving as Global Head of Performance and Attribution for an international asset management firm, where he had executive responsibility for monitoring the effectiveness of various investment strategies, and as Director of Performance Reporting for a leading national SMA wrap fee investment manager.

Timothy has authored numerous papers and articles and has spoken at conferences around the world.

Timothy is based in Houston, where he enjoys cooking and spending time with his two Labrador Retrievers.
