Scott is the partner in charge of the firm’s Chicago office. He leads national financial statement audit, tax, cyber security, vendor due diligence, and AML consulting practices.

Prior to joining Ashland Partners, Scott managed a variety of audit and advisory services with Crowe LLP, after working as an accountant at a national factoring firm. Scott’s experience includes external/internal audits and consultations for traditional and alternative investment funds and advisors, trusts, 529 plans, broker-dealers, banks, credit unions and specialty lenders/servicers. His background also includes experience performing M&A valuations and due-diligence consulting.

Scott is experienced in SEC, SOx 404, FINRA, FDICIA, HUD, and IRS reporting and was recognized by the NAPAP in 2015 as a Top 10 Public Accounting Professional Rising Star in Illinois, a 2020 National Top 100 in Finance, and recipient of the 2020 ILCPAS’ Distinguished Service Award. Scott also serves on the Vestry at St. Mark’s Church in Geneva, IL.

Scott enjoys spending time outside with friends and family, especially up north in Michigan with his wife and three kids. Scott is an active fan of hockey, golf, football and the Bible.
